ABOUT
US

We have decades of experience in this landscape and our wild camp has grown out of a passion for a simpler experience of luxury in the bush.  We have curated an adventure that combines wood smoke, under canvas living and wild spaces.  Waking up at dawn to the sounds of the crested francolin, sleeping under the fig trees to the crackle and rumble of Elephant in the valley below.

A wild camp with detail and comfort.  A serene space that allows guests to completely immerse, depart from their normal existence and connect with the gentler rhythm of the natural world.

Our aim is to bring you closer to the magic of bush life through walking and essential pleasures like botanical walks, fishing at the water's edge, night drives to look for Aardvark and Leopard and other incredible safari experiences on El Karama Wildlife Conservancy.  If you want to peel off those layers, put your feet close to the soil and breathe in the freedom of adventure, then this little bush experience is right for you.

With 5 sleeping tents for 10 pax, a living area and dining area under canvas, open fire pit and views of a natural lick, El Karama Wild is visually raw and beautiful.

Hosted by an experienced guide and host staff that include a private chef, waiter and steward to ensure you have fresh food,  hot bucket showers daily and all the simple touches that bring comfort in the bush.

Our wild camp is a complete digital detox environment, but the dining room has a communal charging station for cameras..  With games, books and other mindful activities to occupy you, we hope you will give yourself permission to switch off from the outside world and tune in to nature.
